XxDeadlyxX
I am using newest unRAID (5.0-rc10)... I have 14 drives in my PC (10x 4TB Hitachis, 4x seagate 3tb). Mobo is Gigabyte X79S-UP5-WiFi. The problem is, unraid only shows 6 drives. The 6 drives it does show are all on the Intel SATA ports on the motherboard. The motherboard has 8 SAS ports but I bought the board because it said you can use the ports as regular SATA ports no problem. All the 14 drives show up in the motherboard's BIOS so I thought OK there should be no problem! But unRAID only shows 6. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Joe L.
Any ideas? Only that you look in the syslog for clues. It is probably a BIOS setting. If you do not have the experience in analyzing a syslog, perhaps follow the guidance given in this post http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9880.0 and attach a syslog. cool
Ok here is the syslog: Bump, has anyone got it working? I have this exact board for my desktop. I'm looking to rebuild my setup and put unraid and gaming/workstation into 1. This board would be perfect for that if the SAS is working. Thanks Quote Link to comment
