January 20, 201313 yr Hi guys, New to unRAID, and messed up the install of the Dropbox plugin. Learned from the mistake and got all the others I wanted installed with no issue. What I need to do is somehow fix the Dropbox one. I coppied the plg into the plugins folder, when it booted it downloaded the isntallers or something. Went to the SimpleFeatures settings page and clicked "Dropbox". Where I went wrong is I set "Enable Dropbox Service:" to yes and saved the config before I clicked Install. Now I cant disable this option or install dropbox again, as I am just seeing "Status: Dropbox isn't running! " Any help is appriciated Running latest version of unRAID and the dropbox plg is version 0.3
January 20, 201313 yr Probably best you clean-up and start over. Also, please grab v0.4 from the first post on this thread. I updated the code for stopping dropbox as on occasion it wasn't doing it correctly. To start over, I suggest you look for and if found remove /boot(flash)/config/plugins/dropbox directory. Also delete any existing .plg plugin file in plugins dir, grab the new version and put a copy there. Then for whatever locations you chose for the dropbox data and database directories, delete those also. I can't be totally certain that you don't have a rogue dropbox daemon process running even if the plugin thinks it's stopped. So best I suggest you reboot your UnRAID server to clear out any processes that might be left over. Assuming you've dropped a fresh copy of the .plg file into your plugins, then UnRAID will auto-install it and you should be good to go into settings->dropbox page of webgui and configure / start the plugin. If you get problems, please report back here. Regards, overbyrn
January 27, 201313 yr Author Sorry for the delay, I had forgotten about dropbox. Installed v 0.4, deleted /boot/config/plugins/dropbox and the plg. Deleted rc.dropbox. When I try and start dropbox I get a message on the console: /etc/rc.d/rc.dropbox: line 136: [ : missing ']'

January 27, 201313 yr Author Updated and same issue. My folder locations are: DB: /mnt/disk1/appdata/dropbox Data: /mnt/user/media/Dropbox Tried with a / at the end of each of those and same issue. When I try and start dropbox, I no longer get the error and it looks like its starting. What I am getting is an endless stream of "Dropbox" folders under the data directory. So: /mnt/user/media/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/.....

So: /mnt/user/media/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/Dropbox/..... I've seen this mentioned on the main Dropbox thread. Check the last few posts in the other thread but I seem to recall the person who had the problem tracked it down to the case of the Dropbox directory. Could be wrong but try something else than 'dropbox' for your Dropbox DB dir. Whilst writing the plugin, I found Dropbox to be extremely picky about certain things so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was as daft as something like that.
January 27, 201313 yr Author Think I figured it, there was a dropbox folder in "/usr/local/". I deleted this and reinstalled and now it is showing Dropbox as "Idle". Linked my account and its downloading. Thank you so much for your help
