January 20, 201313 yr I've been trying to install a few linux-based apps on my fairly simple unraid server. However, I'm not very good with Linux. So somehow I managed to install an app that created a number of directories straight off of one of my disks (DISK3). Then it also created a number of shares. I want to clean this up, but I can't remember what shares are typically seen when typing in \\tower. Is it simply the shares you remembered creating AND DISK1, DISK2, DISK3, etc.. Are there any other folders or shares listed there that I should not be deleting? Again, I could care less about the apps, I just don't want to somehow hurt my unRaid file structure and possibly cause an issue to whole server.
January 20, 201313 yr Author Ohh...I forgot to mention that I obviously shouldn't touch the FLASH share as well.
January 20, 201313 yr If you do not use user-shares then unraid gives you disk? shares, a cache share (if you have a cache drive) and a flash share. If you have enabled user shares there is no telling what you configured...
January 20, 201313 yr Author Thanks. This is what I thought. What sort of concerned me was there was an ADMIN share in there. I deleted the folder and the share and all of sudden DISK3 wasn't working properly (where ADMIN resided). However, after a reboot of the server everything came back and looked the way I expected.
