So, I am trying to run this on 5.0rc10 and the process starts, finds the ups but I do not have any graphics that I can find that tell me it is running.  Nothing in settings, nothing in unmenu.  What is wrong?

 

I have attached a zip of the syslog.

In unMENU the apcupsd status can be found on the "System Info" page by using the button labeled "UPS Status"

 

Or, on the command line you can type:

/sbin/apcaccess status

Thanks Joe, I found that.  I was not getting the settings icon to config the program.  I uninstalled and went with the newest version as a plugin and it appears to work.  I spent several hours rebooting and installing and finally just started over.  I can get around linux, but I am not good at it yet... working on it.
