January 25, 201313 yr I hope I do not get in trouble for posting this. I have my system setup with v. 4.7 andit has been working OK for a couple years. I have close to 9TB of data in my server and I would like to migrate to the latest v.5. I have too much invested in my data, and I do not want to take a chance messing anything up. My knowledge and skills with unRaid are limited, to the point I do not trust myself to do it. I would like to hire someone local to migrate my system to version 5. I would be willing to pay for the time and assistance. I prefer a lump sum fee rather than an hourly fee; but this can be discussed. I know I will get the following questions/comments...: Question 1: If it ain't broke, why fix it? Stay with 4.7. Answer is that the latest update of Couchpotato broke my CP. I have done what I can to get it back, but have not succeeded. With 5 I assume there are plugins where it still works. Question 2: Its is not hard to do, you can do it... just follow this guide... it takes 5 minutes... Answer is that it took me months to get unRaid working right. I have forgotten all that I did to get it working. The prospect of learning it all over again scares me. Plus I need to have access to the data while I do this. So if you want to make some extra money and help out a fellow unRaider, please let me know. I own the plus max version of unRaid, I do have a cache drive, I have 6 drives plus the parity drive.
