January 25, 201313 yr I had some trouble installing YAMJ on my unRaid server and it sort of through some data on to my flash drive that I don't like being there so I would like to start from a clean slate, but I don't want to lose my data on my data drives. I did backup all the data on my flash and then I formatted it. I put the 4.7 version files on the flash as well as my plus registration key. The unRaid server came up and then I had to select all the drives again, which I did in the exact same order I had them before. Only problem is all the drives have Blue Dots next to them. I sort of wasn't expecting that and it is asking to start the array. My only fear is that by starting the array it might try to format the disks. Does anyone know if I start the array whether the newly built flash will recognize that there is unRaid data on these disks and not format anything?
January 26, 201313 yr Don't add the parity drive before starting the array. DO NOT click Format if it appears. If the disks appear normal then add the parity drive.
January 26, 201313 yr Author Thank you thank you. I think everything is going in the right direction now. The data drives looked good. I enabled the user shares and those showed up. Once I enbaled the partition drive it wanted to do a parity check which is fine. It is in the midst of completing that now, but I think this gets me where I want to go. Thanks again. Whew...started to worry about losing this data, but I'm feeling better.
