Motorola Droids + Rebel Cameras & SNAP - anyone get them to work?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I installed snap 5 yesterday with the plan to use SNAP to systematically pull my pictures/movies off of my Droid Bionic and my Canon Rebel XT camera, but I can't seem to get SNAP to recognize them.

Actually, I can't get them to show up under MyMain like I would see a plain USB thumb drive.

Any magic to making them recognizable?  Anyone have them working in their own setup?  I've tried directly plugging them into my Unraid box to no avail.

When you plug the device into your unRAID server, open a telnet session and run:

/boot/config/snap/snap.sh -listDevInfo

Does the device show up?

The camera - no.  I am able to plug it into a Win8 and Vista machine without issue.

Will test the phone later.

Beyond ensuring that the camera is in USB device mode, I don't know enough to help you. Checking to see if the system was recognizing it was my first thought. I'm not sure if there are special drivers that would need to be loaded to get it recognized.
