[RESOLVED, but not solved] SAB & SB almost working together

Recommended Posts

OK, I finally scrapped the sabtosick script, turned on sorting in SAB, adjusted a couple of paths there & now I've got it putting shows in the correct directories.

Sure, I may not get the most fully named files, but, frankly, I really don't care. So long as I've got show, season & episode, I'm good to go.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'm sure there is a way to get it working with SabToSick, but it stumped me, and I'm not willing to put more effort into it at this point.

I don't know what you're doing wrong. I posted the steps to take before and they work. At this point, I'd have to see full screen shots of all the setup screens involved as well as the config file contents with no editing or password blanking. The screen shots would need to include the browser window showing the address you're accessing.

I've received help from several people on this, and all of it has been greatly appreciated. I believe that it shouldn't be this difficult at all, but somewhere, somehow, I've gotten something bolluxed up.

I appreciate your willingness to take another shot at it.

Since the board limits me to 4 posts and a fairly small size, here are the links to screen shots on photobucket.

First SAB set up:

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k331/bdshepard/SAB5_zps01735aad.png

This last one shows (from Windows) the location of my autoProcessTV.cfg file, just to be sure it's in the right place

Here's the contents of autoProcessTV.cfg:

[sickBeard]
host=localhost
port=8082
username=FreeSB
password=j13#v*kzvLVp^4       <snipped some out>                jP&@5(sG(L(
web_root=
ssl=0

Now SB setup:

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k331/bdshepard/SB3_zpsfdbc3c9a.png

If there are other screens you need to see, please let me know, I'm more than happy to provide additional screen shots.

I've followed the advice given here to the best of my ability, but, obviously, I'm still missing something. I certainly hope you, or anyone else, can see what's missing from these shots.

Thanks again for your help

Do you find the scripts? IE, on the categories  page the sabtosick script is in the dropdown? If yes, then the directory location is OK.

Your config file looks OK, make sure the password matches. I assume you copied it?

Do the downloads appear in sab under the TV category?

What happens when the download is complete?

Is the sabtosick script executable?

Try putting the permissions in sab right under the download folder. try 0770.

The only real differences I see are the use of a user name and password and that you have TV in the Group/Indexer tags in sab. My guess would be the script can't handle one of the characters in your password.

Yes, it can find the script (image 1)

Yes, I use KeePass to generate & store long random passwords. Copy 'n paste from there.

Do the downloads appear in sab under the TV category?

Yes they do. (Image 2) - the top row is a test I just did with changed config, then 2nd is a show that downloaded earlier with SAB doing the sorting (as posted in my most recent images)

What happens when the download is complete?

I get this error:

Loading config from /mnt/disk/extra/.sabnzbd/scripts/autoProcessTV.cfg
Opening URL: http://localhost:8082/home/postprocess/processEpisode?nzbName=How.Its.Made.S19E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP.nzb&quiet=1&dir=%2Fmnt%2Fdisk%2Fextra%2F.sabnzbd%2Fcomplete%2FTV%2FHow.Its.Made.S19E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP
Unable to open URL:  [Errno socket error] [Errno 111] Connection refused

Is the sabtosick script executable?

Just checked that based on Jowi's comments above. It was set to 755, so it should have been executable by everyone, but I changed it to 777 anyway. (Image 3)

Try putting the permissions in sab right under the download folder. try 0770.

Did this, got the same error as above.

The only real differences I see are the use of a user name and password and that you have TV in the Group/Indexer tags in sab. My guess would be the script can't handle one of the characters in your password.

Removed 'TV' from the Group/Indexer tags in SAB. Same error as above.

Taking a break for some dinner. Will change the password to use fewer odd characters & see what happens.

EDIT: Eliminated all the special characters !@#$%^&*()_ from my password, and it still didn't work. i.e., same error as above. I'm continually getting the same error of "Connection Refused"

Thanks for the help.

Tantalizingly close!

I went to the SB forums and did a search on the error message. The suggestion there was to replace "localhost" in the autoProcessTV.cfg file with the actual IP address of the hosting machine. I did so, and it worked!  Almost...

On the first episode that I downloaded after putting in the actual IP address, the test worked, it processed completely, and moved the downloaded TV show to the correct directory, except... I had the naming pattern set to:

%SN/Season %0S/%SN S%0SE%0E %Q.N

So, for that one, I had my fresh episode in:

/mnt/user/TV/How It's Made/How It's Made/Season 18/...

In the attached screen shot, I changed the SB naming pattern to:

Season %0S/%SN S%0SE%0E %Q.N

For the next episode that was downloading, my episode ended up in:

/mnt/disk/extra/.sabnzbd/complete/TV/How.Its.Made.S18E13.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP/episode

So, with the change in the config file, I'm no longer getting the 'connection refused' error, but with the change in the SB naming pattern, the files are still being left in the same place as they were when I was getting the error...

Based on the "unable to move" error 2nd to last line, it looks like eposide 11 might exist as a read-only file, but I've just re-confirmed that it does NOT exist in the destination directory. Also, the destination directory can't be read-only - the first log shows SAB successfully moving a show to this directory (I also manually moved two that failed into this directory.)

The ones that are NOT moving to the proper directory are leaving the file in ../complete/TV/_EXISTS_<download name>.  Based on the word '_EXISTS_', I would think that it's found an existing file by that name, and didn't want to overwrite it, but these are new episodes from a new season and do not yet exist on disk. (i.e., I've got some of Season 19, now I'm collecting Season 18)

Weird. Just downloaded 2 episodes (9 & 10) of the same show, back to back.

The first one (episode 9) had this in the log:

Note the 2nd to last line indicating that it was unable to move the file, yet the file is in its proper place in /mnt/user/TV/How It's Made/Season 18

The 2nd one to download (episode 10) left this log:

Loading config from /mnt/disk/extra/.sabnzbd/scripts/autoProcessTV.cfg
Opening URL: http://192.168.1.5:8082/home/postprocess/processEpisode?nzbName=How.Its.Made.S18E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP.nzb&quiet=1&dir=%2Fmnt%2Fdisk%2Fextra%2F.sabnzbd%2Fcomplete%2FTV%2FHow.Its.Made.S18E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP

It left the file in /mnt/disk/extra/.sabnzbd/complete/TV/_EXISTS_How.Its.Made.S18E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP.

It also left the .nzb, .nfo, etc in .../TV/How.Its.Made.S18E10.720p.HDTV.x264-KNiFESHARP

So, back to back, one worked, but reported an error, the other failed to work, reported no error, but based on the length of the log file, doesn't really have seemed to have tried.

While I was reviewing the post for typos (still no guarantees!), a 3rd episode of season 18 (episode 7) finished downloading. It was properly moved, yet reported an error, like episode 9 did. I've got a few more to go, I wonder if it only works properly for odd numbered episodes...

Any additional thoughts?

EDIT: I finally got one that it flagged as successful!
