gulo
Hi I have installed SSD drive as my cache drive yesterday. When I started unraid it showed the drive as unformatted so I used the format option from the menu and the drive showed up correctly. I used it last night just fine. Today I rebooted the server and it came up as unformatted again. Unfortunately if I choose the option to format now it doesn't seem to do anything. It does have a little green ball next to it, it just won't mount or format properly. thoughts? Link to comment
gulo
hmm I am getting this when I run Disk identity scsiModePageOffset: response length too short, resp_len=47 offset=50 bd_len=46 >> Terminate command early due to bad response to IEC mode page A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T permissive' options. Link to comment
dgaschk
Attach a syslog. Then power cycle the machine. The SSD may need to have power removed to reset. Link to comment
gulo
Here is a syslog after reboot I also noticed in the log that some of my shares don't support nfs export ? Wonder why that is syslog.txt Link to comment
dgaschk
The SSD is having communications errors. Try a new SATA cable or port. The space in the share name may be NFS issue. Link to comment

This SSD if the first drive I hooked up to it, so it could be the card itself ? dang Link to comment
BetaQuasi
It could be, but a faulty sata breakout cable is more likely. Link to comment
