January 29, 201313 yr Has anyone seen this? I did a bit of googling around and couldn't find anything. I got the motherboard as an open box from NewEgg and now I am wondering if I have a bad motherboard. I just updated the IPMI and BIOS firmware, both were out of date but updating them hasn't changed anything. I am only running one cpu right now but the cpu temp shows not present. It ends up being annoying because everytime I do much of anything on the server the motherboard beeps and the fans speed up for a couple of minutes, along with the board logging a cpu over temp error. How could the cpu be over temp when there is no temperature sensor working? I do show system temp and peripheral temp but no cpu or pch temp (both say "not present" in IPMI). Any ideas? How would I know if this is a bad motherboard or cpu?
