Transfer Speeds seem siow to and from Unraid Server

Featured Replies

I use my unraid server to house a massive library of DVD movies that i rip.  I have it connected to a gigabit switch that is hooked to a ASUS n900 router. I also have a HTPC wired to the same switch and router

The speeds when doing file transfers are typically between 20-30 MB/s but when i choose to transfer more than one file to two different folders thing slow down significantly.

Also i noticed when i was converting a ripped DVD to MKV it takes about 5 min when reading from and then writing back to the server location.  When i did the same file to a drive located directly on my HTPC it was done in less than a minute.  I use MakeMKV.  (Side note but i noticed since i upgraded to v.5 makemkv has failed on multiple occassions when converting a file.

What could cause this?
