February 3, 201313 yr The cache drive only functionals transparently when using a user share from a client system, whenever you copy in-system (so on the box itself) it is bypassed. When copying to a user share while in-system also the file placement is dealt with differently, files get copied to the disk and in- and excluded disks are not taken into account. Correct right ? I have noticed this over time but have not done any specific tests to confirm (yet). I am wondering.. Could there be any adverse effect to having couchpotatoe writing its post-processed files to /mnt/cache/Movies and then just letting the mover take care of the placing on the correct drives next night ? And possibly the same with Sickbeard (although there I cannot easily think of a way to do that).
