Why only log spindown events?

The syslog always contains entries for spindown events.  Would it not make sense to have any corresponding spinup events logged as well?

    Spinups issued by mdcmd are logged, at least on 4.7 If you mean logging whenever a drive is spun down and subsequently then accessed, I think it would rapidly fill the syslog unnecessarily.
