February 9, 201313 yr I had built a system with the ECS A885GM-A2 (V1.1) which is no longer available. I'm somewhat committed to AMD - can anyone please recommend me a comparable motherboard that will work well with unraid and has 5+sata. It's for a 12 drive build that will use Plex.
February 12, 201313 yr Why are you committed to AMD? The performance per watt of the Intel Core i3 is a lot better than any of AMDs current lineup. And to do Plex transcoding you're going to need the performance.
February 13, 201313 yr Author Well ultimately it was te price originally and I used this CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103911 Which could handle transcoding of videos with ease. Do you have a CPU/ mobo combo that could match or exceed the price performance of that CPU
