February 12, 201313 yr Greetings, First post... Short time lurker... Newbie to UnRaid unRAID Version: 4.7 SYSLOG attached... I am unable to stop my array without my system "hanging/resetting/???" I recently switched my FLASH hardware from a temp (crap USB Flash drive) to a permanent CRUZER (and purchased UnRaid PRO). I also recently had a power failure during the middle of a large file transfer from a Win7 machine to the UnRaid (never completed). Array launches fine (after hard reboot)and appears to be "working" fine... Last Parity check was fine and SMART results seem fine. But, I am unable to STOP the array in order to reconfigure it (I want to add new drives and change around the parity/cache config). When I stop the array, the browser UI hangs and the TTY UI "resets" (machine beeps a single error code). I am seeing tons of errors in my syslog that make no sense to me... I am happy to upgrade to 5.0 rc? if folks are confident that it is ready (and if I do not have to go through major hassles to "upgrade" to the released version)... TIA! syslog.txt
February 12, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the reply and insight Doug. Will give it a go and report back.
February 12, 201313 yr Author Upgraded to 5.0 rc-11 Server rebooted with one of the 2 data disks showing as "wrong" http://screencast.com/t/ihPa1Jn8QDTU. At a loss on how to move forward. I am willing to wipe this server clean and start over (data is not crucial)... Would like to avoid "pre-clear time" if possible... ALSO: At this time, I am unable to access my FLASH drive over the network... Any trick too making that possible (if needed to move forward)...? Thanks, Hugh
February 12, 201313 yr Author Will this work? 192k file limit is making a good screen shot a bit difficult...
February 13, 201313 yr The disk is being identified differently by the new OS. Starting the array will rebuild the disk and all should be well.
February 13, 201313 yr Author Umm... I thought I tried that option and that the start array buttons were greyed out... I am traveling and will revisit in 3 days when I return, but I am 90% sure that starting the array was not an option... Could be wrong... Will advise...
