REplacement for ARC1200

Is it possible to use an ARC 1210 as replacement for an ARC 1200? At the moment I have 2 disks in RAID0/RAID1 configuration but the controller seems a bit flaky, one of the diks gets lost. Other cables didn't help. I can get an ARC1210 fairly cheap. Is this a good option. I hope to use the 2 additional ports for array drives. Would that be possible?

    the 1210 will require an X8 PCIe slot, other then that it should work.
