hey guys, i'm sure i saw when i was first getting into unraid that you could browes your files from other locations. i've searched the manual and the forums and can't see where it was talked about doing it and how?

unRAID is not designed to do that. There are ways to allow things like ftp to the box from the internet but I highly advise you dont do it using unRAID. If you need to see you files remotely then use a VPN into your network.

 

If you still want to do it with only unRAID search the forums for ftp posts but accept that in doing it this way your risk of hack exponentially increases.
