February 14, 201313 yr Hello everyone, I just wanted to get some interpretation regarding the preclear results of two hard drives. One drive (WD Green 2TB) previously gave me "bad blocks" errors, however I suspect they were unfounded. Other other drive, a 500GB Seagate, was donated to me by a relative in the form of an external hard drive. February 14, 201313 yr It is good that the number of re-allocated sectors on the first drive did not change. (It had 55 before the preclea, and no additional after) The other disk seemed to identify an additional sector it could not read. I would run another cycle on it, just to be sure it stabilizes.

Thanks for the (very) fast reply Joe. I'll run a preclear on the WD 2TB drive again when I get home.
