February 15, 201313 yr UnRAID versin: 5.0-rc11 motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G41MT-D3V Processory: Intel core 2 duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz Memeory: 8GB RAM vantec 4?port sata 150 pci Hi All, I am new to UNRAID. When I am streaming videos, telnet into the system, and using the web interface. My session locks up and time out. I have to refresh and it for bit, then timeout again. Reading some of the forum threads. - I have removed the vantec 4?port sata 150 pci "issue still happening" - Check all my disk "issue still happening" - Changed network cables / swtich / router "issue still happening" - Flash my BIOS to the latest version - On board network card is working fine - LAN 1.1 x Realtek RTL8111E chip (10/100/1000 Mbit) ""issue still happening" - Attaching syslog syslog.txt

February 16, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the suggestion dgaschk. I just finish moving 4 of my disk to an older PC. It is working fine now, but this old PC there is no room to add my vantec 4port sata 150 pci. Also, the motherboard don't support more than 3TB drives I would like to move it back to my other powerful PC, but I think the issue is with my on board Realtek RTL8111E NIC. I was reading some other forum trend and it stated something like Realetek are unstable with unRAID. The issue was happening before Feb 14th. I would say it started around early Jan when I build this newer system with the onboard NIC. I could try using another PCIe NIC, but I ready it is better to use onboard. Is there anyway to load proper driver to with Realtek RTL8111E NIC? If so, how do I go about it. Thanks for the help and advise.
February 17, 201313 yr The correct driver is loading: Feb 14 20:07:30 Tower kernel: eth0: Identified chip type is 'RTL8168E-VL/8111E-VL'.
February 19, 201313 yr Author Thanks dgaschk How can I fix? Feb 14 20:08:45 Tower emhttp: unclean shutdown detected I did a parity check and everythig is fine with no errors.
February 20, 201313 yr Author Thanks dgaschk. I did do a proper shutdown after and parity check. I looked up my motherboard "Gigabyte GA-G41MT-D3V" They list this as my NIC 1.1 x Realtek RTL8111E chip Is 'RTL8168E-VL/8111E-VL' the proper diver for that NIC? I notice the "VL" any idea what the means? If I had processor issue, is there a way I can check? Thanks again for your help.
