advice on Antec Neo Eco 400c or Corsair Enthusiast TX550M

Featured Replies

hi everyone!

presently, i can have these two PSU for the same price:

- Antec Neo Eco 400c for 49.99$

- Corsair Enthusiast TX550M for 49.99$

what is the preference that you have? here's what i'm looking to build:

  • Case : Antec Three Hundred Two
  • Motherboard : AsRock B75 Pro3-M
  • CPU : Intel G1610
  • Drives : up to 11 green drives

thank you for the help!

alex

Both are Seasonics in a different wrapper (good), however, I would go with the TX650M because it is 80 Plus Bronze and 5 year warranty vs. the older 400c 80 Plus and 3 year warranty.

thank you for your advice!

but the Antec Neo Eco 400c is also 80 plus bronze : http://www.plugloadsolutions.com/80PlusPowerSuppliesDetail.aspx?id=6&type=2

I am not familiar with the page you linked to, but the Antec website lists the 400c as 80 Plus (up to 80% efficient per the manual).  Bronze would be listed as up to 82% efficient.  Either one of the supplies you listed will do the job just fine, warranty and cable features are the only difference.

I've used the Antec previously but it can be had at a way better deal than that if you wait it out. I've seen it as low as $23 bucks.
