Don't Share Individual Disks?

Featured Replies

Probably a newbie question but is it possible to stop sharing entire drives over the network and only show the shared folders I have selected?

At the moment when I go to \\tower I see:

disk1

disk2

disk3

disk4

flash

sorted (share I have set up)

downloads (share I have set up)

I basically would prefer to just see the two (share I have set up) entries.

Not at my machine and quite new to unraid but.

Click disk1 disk2 disk3 on the main page and select the share hidden option in Export settings should hide them.

    Export read/write, hidden

The share will be exported, but will not show up in browse lists (i.e., under My Network Places). If User level security is not enabled, then anyone on the network who knows about the share can read/write data in the share. If User level security is enabled, then anyone who can log into the server and knows about the share can read/write data in the share.

edit: had to check the wiki to be sure of my answer hehe :)
