Having trouble connecting to unraid server

Featured Replies

I have started a job where I work away 2 weeks at a time. Every time I get home my unraid server is off. I just assumed it turns off if it doesn't get used for a while or something.

Also after turning it back on I always have trouble connecting to it through //tower:8080. I had to use the -shutdown now r command to reset it a few times until for some reason I was able to connect to it.

It started working fine yesterday afternoon and I was using unmenu, sabnzbd and couchpotato but this morning when I tried accessing any of these it would not connect again.

Is there something I'm not doing?

*edit* i tried connecting to it 5 minutes after posting this and it worked, then 5 minutes later it failed again... ?

also, sometimes it's is connecting but parts of the page are "unable to load / connect to " or it will connect but the page will never load.

Possibly the wife needs the plug for vaccuuming ? lol :-)

Is the system really totally off ? Like switched off ?

I'm not sure if it's off or if its on standby / sleep but it wouldn't come on when i moved the mouse / keyboard. It's a HP Microserver N40L. I'm not too worried with that anyway, I'm more concerned that it has intermittent connectivity problems when I turn it back on.

Unraid is working fine at the moment, I'll see how it goes tonight.

Well... If something is putting it to sleep then it might have issues waking up... Doublecheck if you have anything running that puts it to sleep and deactivate it..
