March 8, 201313 yr Ah of course! I'm using simpleFeatures plugin, the ability to click on the individual devices under the "Main" page did not appear quite so obvious as it did before - either way i can sucessfully choose which disks are exported/hidden now. Thanks Joe L. To enable user-shares, go to Settings->Share Settings and enable user-shares (set it to Yes and press apply) Leave included and excluded disks blank for now. Not getting any joy with the user shares unfortunately. I can set the user shares to Yes but cannot leave "included" and "excluded" blank. I tried setting "included" to all by ticking the checkbox next to each disk. Disabling the user shares doesnt seem to delete the .cfg file from /boot/config/shares

Disabling the user shares doesnt seem to delete the .cfg file from /boot/config/shares STOP using "SimpleFeatures" if it has a major bug that does not allow you to enable user-shares and leave included/excluded disks blank. Since this is now a customization issue, I'm going to move your post there. Joe L.
March 8, 201313 yr Author Thanks Joe. I'll look to remove SimpleFeatures from the equation to see if that resolves my problem and report back. Thanks again. James
March 8, 201313 yr I don't know why so many people are having issues with it, I've not had a single issue and I love the UI. Anyway, can I ask what your error is? For me I just have it like this and it works fine:- Does it log anything? Or what?
March 8, 201313 yr Author The issue is that i somehow lost my user shares - not available to connect to over SMB, not available in the shares page of unmenu, and the .cfg files were no longer in /boot/config/shares... I replaced my share .cfg files from a backup into /boot/config/shares/ and still cannot see the shares over SMB or in the shares page of unmenu. My "Enable user shares" is set to Yes. My "Included disk(s)" is set to All. My "Excluded disk(s)" is set to None. As per Automatics screenshot. Is there a way i can disable the SimpleFeatures plugin temporarily or remove if necessary to test Joe L.'s suggestion to leave included and excluded disks blank.
March 8, 201313 yr Author Does it log anything? Or what? I can post something up, all i could see was the below - but i might be looking in the wrong place. Mar 7 21:48:05 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/Movies.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults (Other emhttp) Mar 7 21:48:05 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/PS3.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults (Other emhttp) Mar 7 21:48:05 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/TV.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults (Other emhttp)
March 8, 201313 yr Author I don't know if its due to me putting the .cfg files back into /boot/config/shares from the backup i had, but following a reboot..... the User Shares now appear.
