I was on 5.0-rc4 now upgraded to 5.0-rc11. Previously all drives would spin down but they don't seem to do so after 1 hour which is what it is set at. 

 

Any ideas why the upgrade would cause this behaviour?

The syslog covers several days and shows some drive spin down entries.  In the most recent portion of the log the drives would not have spun down because a parity check was running.  I would reboot the server and then check back after an hour of no activity to see if the drives are spun down and that syslog might be more useful.
