Need help with NFS and suid

Featured Replies

I'm trying to setup a share on my unraid for my raspberry pi develeopment area.  I want the area on the unraid because I'm using Netbeans C/C++ IDE with the rPi as the remote server.

I need to have files owned as root, and SUID.  When I try to sudo chown 4755 <file> it acts like it works, but I still see the files as 777.  The files are mounted on the rPi via cifs, as I can't figure out how to mount them via nfs.

Can what I'm trying to do be done or is there a cifs limitation?

If anyone knows how to do this a little help would be much appreciated.
