March 15, 201313 yr I am having an issue with my new toshiba drive. I had a 4 - 2tb wd Green set up (5 w/parity) and it worked great. I added a toshiba 2tb drive last week and my write speed is very slow and will actually stop. It will create the new folders and transfer some small files but wont transfer the movie files and then will eventually give me an error that it cant finish the transfer. I pre-cleared the drive before adding it to the array. I did also add a second controller card for this new drive but is the exact model as my other one that I have been using without issue. I have noticed that when I try to transfer a file to that new drive it stops at 25,434,132kb. It has stopped here both times I tried to transfer files. Any thoughts?
March 15, 201313 yr I see that you saw this post: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=22675.0 Not sure if you read them though. The whole thread is about how having more than 4GB of ram in unraid is causing some problems with transfering. Some people think it's specific to MB's ( I don't ), some people just think it's because of the limitation of 32 bit software. ANYWAY, for people to help you, they need more than what you said here. saying something's not working isnt enough. Please attach your syslog and spec of your machine
