[SOLVED] 5.0-rc11 - unable to define share

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am new here and this is my first post.

I have just bought a new HP Microserver N40L NAS with 2 x WD 3TB Red Drives. I have also installed UnRAID 5.0-rc11 on a usb stick.

I have done the preclear and UnRAID is able to recognize the parity and disk1 with no issues.

I first stop the array and set "Enable User Shares" in "settings" page to a "Yes". I then start the array and proceed to define the shares.

These are the settings I use:

Name: Movies

Comments: Movies

Allocation method: High Water

Min. free space: 0

split level: 2

Include disk(s): I leave this blank

Excluded disk(s): I leave this blank

I then click "Add Share" and it appears to run a command but upon clicking the "shares" tab again, there are no shares defined.

Could someone please enlighten me what I have done wrong?

Many thanks

I have also uploaded a screenshot of what my share page looks like.

Apologies for this thread.

I figured out what actually happen. It appears that there are errors on the reiserFS partition. A quick checkdisk fix the issues. I can then define shares properly.

Consider this thread closed. Sorry again.

fliptoback can you please update the topic of the original post to [sovled] and change the Message Icon for the original message to 'Defect [solved]'?
