March 20, 201313 yr Say I have three identical PCs (GPU/MOBO/CPU/Etc) and I image the hard-drive over all three (Once I've installed & configured one PC's drivers/etc), does anyone know if windows will get pissy if they're in the same subnet together? Does windows have any sort of unique machine identifier that if they're on the same subnet they'll fight over something? And if not, can I just do:- dd if=/dev/sd* of=/dev/sd& Where "*" is the origin drive that I've already set up and configured and "&" is the drive that I'm too lazy to reconfigure two more times.
March 20, 201313 yr Windows will care about only 2 things, static ip address if set will need changing and computer name. Obviously your windows activation will need to be redone as the motherboard, hard drive, nic mac etc will change. SID is irrelevant as your not in a domain. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
March 20, 201313 yr Sids may cause problems if using samba/unraid. Doesnt do any harm getting sidgen and running it Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
