Extremely slow speed - new test build

Featured Replies

I am trying to build a simple home server and read a lot of good things about unRAID, especially that I'm able to use my existing, various size drives. I followed configuration tutorial and successfully setup a test system with one data drive (done preclear). Everything looks fine until I start to transfer files. The speed is extremely slow @<1M KB/s per Teracopy (mount external USB drive to copy). I then try to copy file WITHIN data drive and speed remains the same (most of the time @500-800 KB/s). Very frustrating.

Please see attached my syslog. My system detail below,

unRAID version: 5.0-rc11

Motherboard: Gigabyte P35-DS3R

CPU: Intel E2160

RAM: 4GB

Data drive: WD 1TB WD10EADS

Thank you very much for your help.

Don't know if this is the right one you're looking for, @dgaschk.

I've been trying to change settings in BIOS but didn't seem to improve too much. Now the transfer speed @1-1.5MB/s.

Thanks.

After installed ver4.7 then back to rc11 seems like things are running OK. No idea what went wrong but maybe I miss something when first time installing. ???
