What is the best way to copy a lot of data from one unraid to another? Both on the same network.

I just did this with Midnight Commander (mc). I did enable FTP on both machines and did connect to the remote machine from within MC (F9/left or right/FTP link). In the entryfield you need to enter "username:password@machine" (e.g. harry:harryspw@tower).

 

Worked quit well.

 

I did this for my brother-in-law.  I added a new drive as a cache drive on my box and let unraid clear/format it.  I copied the data and removed the drive.  My BIL was then able to add the drive to his array without must hassle.
