March 27, 201313 yr Hello. I am trying to go back to 4.7 but after booting up unraid tells me that I have an invalid configuration. To many wrong and/or missing disks. I am trying to go back to 4.7 because of a specific issue that I have noticed with the 5.0 releases that I don't remember being an issue with 4.7. I want to verify this by going back to 4.7 for a while. Can anyone help me get my array back up and running? I took a screenshot of the disk placement in 5.0 and have matched it up in 4.7 but I am still getting the message that the disks are wrong. Thanks unraid_syslog.txt
March 27, 201313 yr Are you using 3 TB disks cos they are not supported in 4.7. Skip that. Unfortunately I can't be of much help.
March 27, 201313 yr Author No. I am using 2TB as the largest drives. I was running 4.7 previously with all the same drives and upgraded a few months ago. I can not locate my 4.7 flash drive backup. So I backed up and removed the 5.0 passwd, smbpasswd, and shadow files. I then put the 4.7 bzroot and bzimage files on the flash drive and rebooted.
March 27, 201313 yr the super.dat config is different between 5.0 and 4.7. You will need to rename the super.dat file on the flash drive with 4.7 to super.dat.old and then restart the machine. This should then get you back to "square one" where you can then assign the drives to the array and build parity.
