March 29, 201313 yr There is a topic about this in the roadmap forum but I was hoping somebody here may have a better answer. It seems that due to the reiserfs native properties, it is unable to recognize when a change occurs in a folder. Supposedly, Plex should update it's library when any change is detected - IE, if a file is deleted, it should update the library to reflect the change. Sadly it doesn't Is there anything I can do to make Plex update it's library when I delete my files manually? It's the only thing preventing me from switching my entire home theater system over to Plex. Nobody at the Plex forums seems to know the answer so I turn to you guys for help.
March 29, 201313 yr I know this is complete irreverent, but, doesn't inotifywait do something like this? Even if plex itself can't do anything, I'm sure you could link a script up to inotifywait to refresh plex each time a "MODIFY" result comes in, or, if you're really snazzy, code your own inotify file thingy mabob, no idea how hard it would be because I have no idea how anything linux works.
