April 3, 201313 yr Hi everyone, I just bought the plus key and while I was adding more drives to my array I noticed the 4th drive was being taken as IDE instead of SATA. This is my motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157292 It clearly says it supports 6 SATA ports. What could be the problem here? Thanks in advance.

You need to make a change in your BIOS to have your SATA ports configured as AHCI. Most of the time, the BIOS will default to configuring SATA controllers to IDE mode. That is probably what the problem is.

April 8, 201313 yr Author Ok, I finally checked the BIOS, the AHCI option was already Enabled. But right below there was an option enabled that said something about IDE mode or something. I disabled it and that did the trick. Thanks for the help.
