DVD Ripping Plugin?

Featured Replies

I am wondering if anyone has come up with a plugin that will allow us to rip DVDs directly on our unraid 5.0 box.  What I would envision is maybe having an external DVD drive connected.  When you pop in a DVD, it would just start ripping the movie to a pre designated location on your unraid array.  You could configure the settings via the unraid gui (rip format, destination folder...)  does anything like this exist?  if not it would be an AWESOME addition.

ahh ok - well it was a cool idea :)

No reason you can't point your DVD ripping software to save it directory on the server over the network instead of having to save it to your local PC first.

I've found it is faster to rip to local PC hard drive then copy to unRAID. Your mileage my vary.
