April 11, 201313 yr I've spent the last two days trying to figure this out. But after I upgraded to 5.0rc12, I am no longer able to mount my user shares with r/w access. All of my computers are Linux based (Ubuntu/Lubuntu), and before the upgrade I used the following lines in the fstab file to mount my shares. //192.168.1.2/My_Movies /home/scott/Network/My_Movies cifs username=root,password=???,uid=1000,gid=100 0 0 I was able to get my shares to mount with this //192.168.1.2/My_Pictures /home/scott/Network/My_Pictures cifs guest,_netdev,uid=nobody,gid=users 0 0 but they are read-only. If i connect to the server I am able to browse to the share and I have r/w access, but there are some programs (photo, gdrive) that require the share to be mounted before you are able to access it from the program. So this would be nice to fix. Ive attached my system.log syslog1.txt
