April 15, 201313 yr I was told ESXi is free. Someone on here told me a while ago, but cannot remember who that was. Anyway when I went to check out Vmware's home page ESXi is there and can be downloaded but only with an evaluation. After 2 months (60 days) the evaluation period is over and then I suspect the software won't work after that. I read several users on here using ESXi with their unraid...did you have to pay for your ESXi?
