Split Level 101 - For Dummies

Featured Replies

Hey guys, novice user with unRAID server running 5.0-rc12a.

Is there a recommended split level/user share setup for folders that could consistently keep growing in size over time? I run a production company that primarily dedicates user shares to different web series we produce, but I'm running into trouble wrapping my head around universal stock asset folders and personal share folders for each employee. I could see new files getting added to those folders constantly, and don't want to run into disk errors once they start eating into minimum space reqs.

Thanks in advance for clicking on this post.

Ive found this to be the most helpful for me

As for how to pick what one you want/need. That all depends on your current directory structure.

That's a great image. You should add it to the wiki if it isn't already in there.
