Can't access my management page

Featured Replies

Hi.  I can access the machine via telnet.  I can also reach tower:8080 (unmenu).  Unfortunately, sabnzbd, sickbeard and cp are all not working.  Any advise what to do?

I rebooted the machine.  It's no longer accessible via web.  I can still telnet into it.  I can still access tower:8080 (my unmenu), but when I select unraid main, I get "Connection closed by remote server."

Last time, this resorted to me creating a new flash drive, new settings all throughout.  I hope I don't have to do this again.

Please help.

syslog.txt

Disable ALL the plugins, and then reboot, then follow the general instructions to attach a syslog for analysis.

Many other users have reported the EXACT same issues when a mis-behaving plugin prevents the array from starting.

Hi.  How do I disable the plugins when I don't have access to the management page?

BTW, the only plugins that I've been using are influencer's sabnzbd, sickbeard, couchpotato, and headphones.

Thanks

Hello trurl,

What does "Stock go file" mean?  What does this stand for "/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &" mean?  Is this what I do to execute the stock go file?

Revert to stock system:

1. Rename the /boot(flash)/config/plugins directory.

You can rename this directory to anything, such as plugins.bak. The purpose is to keep unRAID from finding the plugins directory and running them when it starts up.

2. Rename boot(flash)/extra/.

Similar to above.

3. Use the stock go file (boot(flash)/config/go).

This means replace your go file with the stock go file

Stock go file:

#!/bin/bash
# Start the Management Utility
/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &

The go file should only contain those lines. You don't do anything to execute the stock go file. It gets executed when you reboot.

The purpose of these instructions is to get you back to a state where you are only running unRAID without any addons.

This is what Joe L. meant by "Disable ALL the plugins".

Then follow the rest of Joe L's instructions above.

And among those are ones known to prevent the array from properly starting.  Time to start doing your homework and reading in the customizations forum about all the others with the same issues.

Thanks to both.  I'll do those steps and post back my result.

trurl, Joe L., Thanks for your help.  My management page is once again reachable.  I'm now in the process of isolating which plugin is causing the problem.
