only telnet connection possible after stopping array.

I have a new build on a X7SPA-HF running 5.0Beta12A. Currently 4 disks in the array with a preclear running on 2 WD Reds of 3 TB. Yesterday I noticed that the two user shares had 0 bytes available, even though there is a total space of close to 4 TB on the 4 disks in the array. I decided to stop the array and evt. start it again. I only saw repeatedly messages like stopping or unmounting user shares and that was it.  Now I cant reach the servers Web GUI either by tower or tower:8080. I just can telnet to the server. What can I do to get the GUI back? I don't wanna reboot cause the preclear on 2 3TB drives is almost finished. I had the Transmission plugin running. Can I kill it to see what happens?

You've probably run out of memory at this point with all the messages about attempting to stop the array filling the syslog.

In any case, this is a customizations issue.  You MUST stop transmission and any other add-on process using the disks before stopping the array.

Some packages will do this on their own, apparently, your version of transmission does not.

You you can try killing transmission, and see if the array stops itself and yu can regain control, otherwise, you can only reboot to get back the unRAID interface.    You might as well let the preclear finish first... (if it can)

Thanks Joe, you're right as always.

It was my own stupidity. Preclear is still running.

How can i check which processes/apps are running and how much memory is left?
