You probably will want a cron job to rsync the folder to 'some' other folder on your array on 'some' frequency.

It's actually not recommended to use the leading period for a plugins directory any more because it's been known to cause issues with some plugins.

It's actually not recommended to use the leading period for a plugins directory any more because it's been known to cause issues with some plugins. yeah. some plugins recommend not to use hidden folder (dot as first character of folder name -plex comes in mind). the recommended way if the plugins dont support hidden folder is to use cache only folder(i just learn about that).
May 2, 201313 yr On the share settings simply change the use cache drive pull-down to be only cache or something along those lines.
July 31, 201312 yr I created a cache only share called Apps, but found that the Apps folder also appears on my main array. It's on disk1, 2 & 3. Just empty directories, no files. Is this normal? Is it safe to remove the Apps folder from my disk1, 2 & 3?
