May 2, 201313 yr I just upgraded to the 5.0-rc12a version. Upgrade went fine and I started the array with everything working fine except the time zone was set to Hawaii and there was a lot of text that I didn't understand next to all time stamps. I attempted to change the timezone in the web GUI and the server "crashed" at least the GUI crashed. Well I can Telnet to the server and go to \\Tower\flash but I can not get into the web GUI. Iv'e tried to go to tower:8080 but no luck. I have a few plugins: SimpleFeatures, unMENU, Plex Media Server, Plex Updater, transmisson, sickbeard, sbnzbd and couchpotato. Could anyone help me fix this? Ps. I'm pretty new in Linux and unRaid, so I might have to be spoonfed.
May 3, 201313 yr Agree with trurl's comment: Revert to stock system. Get the upgraded version working; THEN add your plug-ins (one at-a-time, testing as you go, is the best way to isolate what may be causing your issues).
May 3, 201313 yr Author I left the server alone for this night and workday, when I came home my web GUI is working and everything seems to be in order. I can access all shares and I have a parity check in progress. This is the text I was referring to in the Timezone settings: "Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/London' for 'Local time zone must be set--see zic manual page/0.0/no DST' instead in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 412013-05-03 18:45:45" All plugins work fine to. I'm pretty baffled as to what happened, I didn't even try a fix(stock system) just left the sever alone for about 20 hours.
