Sickbeard not working as well with version 5

Featured Replies

With 4.7, sickbeard was working perfectly.  However since I upgraded to 5, sickbeard is not able to check for a newer version, I get the message " Unable to contact github, can't check for update".  Also, it no longer updates xbmc when I complete a download.  On the notification page, I can test sucessfully, but when I try to "update xbmc", I get the message "unable to contact xbmc host".  Has anyone else had these problems?

SickBeard on v5 works flawlessly for me, no issues whatsoever.

Are you still running SB as you were on v4.7?  In other words via the unMenu package, or are you running the v5 Influencer plugin?

Not sure how to fix your issues, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

thanks for the reply.  I am running the same as v4.7.  I am using unmenu, I basically just reinstalled it via unmenu and set it up from scratch.

You might want to try using Influencer's plugin.  Don't know that it would make a difference, but that's how I have it installed.  You would need to set the current install via unMenu to not install on reboot, then reboot and install plugin version.

Thanks, I might try giving that a shot and see what happens.
