Bug Report: mc and shfs: duplicate object:

Featured Replies

This one may be unavoidable. I had a syslog explosion until I realised what was causing it. If you use mc to move files between drives the way it works is to copy them all, verify they have went then delete the source. The problem is that during this process the syslog explodes with "shfs: duplicate object:" logs.

I'm having a similar problem, my syslog is exploding when i use rTorrent:

Tower shfs: duplicate object: /mnt/disk2/Current_Downloads/Torrents/rtorrent.dht_cache

any idea how to fix this?  I tried removed the file manually, but it always comes back when rtorrent is restarted.

Thanks,

Munky

I fixed the problem with Joes help by simply finding and removing all duplicate files. My syslog was getting silly large but since then its back to normal.
