Incorrect free space reported

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am currently running v5.0 R12a and it has been running really well. I have come across a problem with two of the disks in my array reporting zero space available when I know there should be approx 170GB on one and over 70GB on the other. It was reading the correct values and then after a reboot they now read zero. How do I correct this?

Where are you reading this from?

Logon to the console and do a "df -h"

I'm reading it from the main GUI and windows. I've also tried to copy files to them and I get a message saying that the disk is full.

Sounds like either file system corruption, or possibly user error. Are you sure nothing was on the cache drive to be moved? Perhaps your split level or disk allocation is too restrictive, and the drives filled because the mover script was disallowed from putting the files on other drives. After eliminating the possibility of user error, I'd run a file system check on the 2 offending drives.

No nothing has changed. I don't use a cache drive or mover script and I haven't copied any files to the array for about 6 months. The only thing I did was shutdown and reboot the server.

Post a picture of the Web GUI display.

Also, reboot again and see if that clears anything up.
