Samba mounted share unmounting randomly

I have a Ubuntu server 12.04 vm that has three mounted shares.  Every couple of days, these shares will randomly be unmounted.  I remount them just fine.

Has anyone else experience an issue like this?

 

It has gotten to the point where I created a cron job that does a 'sudo mount -a' every 30 minutes to ensure that this doesn't cause any issues.  Is there a better way to go about this?

 

If this isn't the correct forum (maybe an ubuntu specific issue) then I will gladly move it.
