July 7, 201313 yr The issue was resolved after the pre-clear, 29hrs later... the device added without issue. I guess from now on I will go through the pre-clear process. Patience is a virtue I was not blessed with, but this might be my penance. Thanks for all your help.

July 7, 201313 yr Just re-scanned this thread to confirm you had upgraded to the latest version ... and realized you had NOT done that. So the issue may very well have already been resolved in RC16c. Do you have any more drives you need to add? If so, update to RC16c; then try adding a drive.
July 9, 201312 yr OK, I need one of these cards. Please tell me if I'm understanding what you are saying correctly. If I use this script, I can hook my new hdd to this new card and pre-clear it successfully? There has been a problem with some of the v5RC's whereby they won't properly clear a new drive. The drive will add just fine if you pre-clear it using Joe L's pre-clear script. [ http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2817.0 ] I'll be sure LimeTech is aware of this issue just in case it hasn't been fully resolved in the latest release.
