May 16, 201313 yr Hi, I have a share called Media. Under this share, I created two folders "Movies" and "TV Shows" I have SB/CP/SAB/AirVideo/PLEX/Headphones installed as well. All plugins are mapped to the share/TV Show or /Movies Randomlly a few days ago, I notices a new folder under the Media Share called "Tv Shows" (lowercase V). THe contents appear to be identical between Tv and TV. THe file size and number of files is the same (when viewing in windows). Ive restarted the server, still shows up. Checked all plugins...and do not see anything mapping to Tv. Does anyone know what could have happened?
May 16, 201313 yr Check your individual disks and see if there's a "TV Shows" folder on one (or more) and a "Tv Shows" folder(or folders) on another. I don't believe shares are case-sensitive ... so they'd both really be the same share; but if one of the folders somehow was created with the lower-case v, it could (in fact apparently does) result in both versions being displayed as shares (although they both refer to the same things). If that's the case, re-naming the offending folder on the disk(s) involved should resolve this.
May 16, 201313 yr ... by the way, if that IS what happened, it would be interesting to know WHY. Have you written directly to one of the disks instead of the shares? Did your current allocation method result in a recent switch to a different disk for the writes? Which applications are involved in writing new data to "TV Shows" ? Did you by chance do a copy to the array and manually type the name of the share? (perhaps inadvertently typing "Tv Shows")
May 16, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the reply. I went into the drive 2 manually as this appears to be where the Tv was stored only. I found that the last several TV episodes downloaded by SAB, the raw files were stored here. So I went to SAB, and overlooked the post processing folder for TV episodes is set to /mnt.../Tv I also did not have the +Delete enabled. My SAB config crashed recently, and I guess this is the first time its been used for TV episodes and Im just now finding the issue. SO...there you have the WHY...many thanks to you for pointing in the right direction! Thanks!!
