[SOLVED] Cannot access/delete the folder

Featured Replies

Hello,

I came across a weird error with unRAID. Everything worked fine until I tried to update my YAMJ jukebox (consists of index.htm and Jukebox folder in the root of the share). I realized that I cannot access Jukebox folder, neither from windows via share, nor from console via MC. When I try to open or delete the folder everything freezes for a short period. When I first noticed the problem, I wanted to restart the server with unRAID and I tried to do it using the button in the main menu (I don't have any plugins installed), but the restart process froze so I had to force it manually, which eventually led me to mandatory parity check - finished without errors.

I tried to set the permissions but after half an hour it still at this step: "processing /mnt/disk8 ... chmod -R u-x,go-rwx,go+u,ugo+X /mnt/disk8" for the drive with this folder on it.

I also cannot save the syslog because it apparently consists of huge amount of the same records and it'll take a lot of time for the syslog to be displayed. I'm attaching the screenshot of it though.

What can I do to get rid of that folder and possibly fix the filesystem errors, which I think may have been an issue?

Thank you guys for your help!

Followed the instructions from here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Check_Disk_Filesystems

Ran both reiserfsck --check /dev/md8 and reiserfsck --fix-fixable /dev/md8

Everything seems to be ok with filesystem, however I still cannot do anything with the troublesome folder

This time I was able to catch the syslog.

Rebuilding the tree using --rebuild-tree switch fixed the issue.
