May 22, 201313 yr Hello Everyone! Truly sorry for the potentially redundant question from a certified Noob! So, I've just setup my custom built NAS and all is well in the BIOS. Do not have an OS....do I need mobo drivers in order for FreeNAS to function? Thanks!
May 22, 201313 yr Did you install FreeNas? You have to download an ISO; create a bootable CD or USB flash drive; and boot to that installation disc to install FreeNAS http://www.afterdawn.com/software/network/misc_net_tools/freenas.cfm
May 22, 201313 yr do I need mobo drivers in order for FreeNAS to function? Isn't there a FreeNAS forum where this question might attract the attention of someone with more experience of that software?

Good point It was such a simple question I went ahead and pointed the OP to a FreeNAS download ... but this IS an UnRAID forum, so I should have at least made that point !!
