backing up the cache drive

so i recently just had a cache drive fail on me. i run many different plugins on my system:

 

- sabnzbd, sickbeard, couchpotato, air video, plex, mysql, btsync, etc

 

when the cache drive failed i had to reconfigure the whole lot and lost my history, settings, configuration that had taken me many months to painstakingly get just right!

 

my question is simple. how do i prevent this loss going forward? a cronjob or something?
